Calling of the desert - Journey through trust and authentic manifesting

After the last 'failed' attempt, I started heading out to the desert again—the cold desert of India, Leh Ladakh. The visions of icy mountains, the vastness of the terrain and cold silence of the desert kept tugging my mind to the point I couldn't ignore them anymore.

I'm traveling on my bike with camping gear, a ukulele, and a few clothes. Part of me wanted to escape the incessant rain where I live in Bir, Himachal. Leh is experiencing its peak summer, and it would be the perfect time to go.

What I really love about traveling this way is the feeling of aliveness, magic, and spontaneity that is present in my being and reflected all around. I needed a cup of coffee to kickstart my ride, as it was raining when I left, and riding in the rain needed extra motivation.

After some time riding, I noticed my energy mostly around the higher chakras, with the mind active than usual. I was seeing reflections of this in people around me. I journeyed spiritually for a couple of years, thinking the journey was about raising my vibration, to be in bliss and joy of existence—which was an important inquiry at that time. I have noticed this is quite prevalent around, especially in spiritual work, which is an understandable misunderstanding.

But the orientation has shifted. Now I know how important it is to fully embody in the physical and to be coherent. Although going out of body and being in the higher chakras is pleasant in the beginning, there are obvious detrimental effects. One is the difficulty in manifesting accurately in the physical existence, as our creative endeavors don't fully take shape. Another is a lack of motivation—an inertia that can be felt. If we are honest and self witnessing, this will be revealed.

I trusted that I was safe in the hands of divine. But there is a differrent level of trust, which is trust in the process of life. Since everything is energy, as you let go of the old compromises, the energy which was invested in them becomes available to create something new and much more aligned with our being. This journey was founded on such a level of trust.

Twice, I saw a covered portrait being carried by two different people. It’s simply not a coincidence. It speaks of unrevealed picture. It reminds me of a dialogue from an SRK movie - Picture abhi baaki hai !

It’s okay if it’s in a movie—we wait, anticipatedly, for the climax to be revealed at the end. What twist and turn the protagonist will go through. When it comes to our life, most would say a big NO!

But therein lies the adventure of the soul and the greatest fear of the ego.

The ego despises uncertainty, the unknown and the unresolution. It thrives in the known, certainty, security, and comfort, however mundane it becomes. I realize this journey is progressively about getting comfortable in the unknown—the abode of an alive and open crown chakra. The place from where possibilities turn into probabilities and actualize themselves.

I will give you an example that happened two days prior that best describes this.

The cold desert of Leh had been calling me for a while, and I had been hiding this yearning under the carpet for a variety of reasons. I don't have the money yet, was the main one.

I had been quite inspired by my friend who had done a lot of hitchhiking—traveling without money—for quite a bit. To get some inspiration, I decided to give him a call. While I was speaking to him, I was noticing the synchronicities spiking around.

First came the Rajasthani folk singers with their soulful music, carrying the energy of the wandering nomads and mystics. On their right was a guy wearing a t-shirt which read, Not for the weak of the will. Most definitely not!

As I embodied this energy, my being felt alive. The energy itself began to weave reflections and steps around me. Feeling inspired, I packed my bag, printed a banner about the journey, and decided to walk and hitchhike all the way to Leh.

Two days later, on the day of my departure, I offered an impromptu facilitation session to a dear friend, who offered some money—which helped me kickstart my journey in a different way.

This was it ! The energy of the passion and excitement was bending the space-time continuum—the quantum field—to provide the support I needed for the journey.

This would happen, provided we are creating from the soul. I was simply given to embark on this journey!

It would seem a little cliché to say this, but I am going to say it anyway:

Follow your heart, express your passion, and the universe will create with youfor you.

Camping in the forest

On the way, I came upon a beautiful forest—lofty trees rising like ancient guardians, their feet gently carpeted with a hush of dried pine needles. There was a stillness in the air, as if she was calling me closer, inviting me into her quiet, sacred embrace.

One look at her, I knew—that's where I am going to spend the night. Although my plan was to drive for a few more hours, this felt absolutely right. And thus is the value of being flexible!

A guy on the way asked me for a lift. His home was closer to this breathtaking waterfall stream. It turned out to be a win-win situation for both of us. What a blessing!

As the icy cold water brushed against my skin, it awakened my senses, washing away the thoughts. I felt rejuvenated and alive again.

I was gifted with this curious crystal from the forest. In fact, most of the rocks in the forest had such crystalline structures, and they seemed to anchor and ground the energy of the forest well.

I felt blessed and grateful to be off the road, sleeping in the peace and warmth, the forest offered. The crickets chirped through the night, their chorus weaving into the silence of the forest.
